With a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Michael Centorcelli is equipped with a well-rounded toolkit for success in human-centered design.

What started as sketching characters and building Legos quickly evolved into an impressive example of product design.

Today Michael works for Imperial Industries as a Mechanical Designer. In his spare time he designs and builds furniture for personal use and sale.

Academic Awards

In addition to a Bachelors of Design in Industrial Design, Michael received the Social Responsibility Award for Industrial Design for his work on his Senior Thesis. He also received the Judge’s Choice Award from Professor Stephen Melamed, who is the Founding Chair of UIC’s Industrial Design Program. Both are an incredible honor and an immense responsibility to represent UIC in his future endeavors.
